  1. I will personally miss James, & Kt who have done a magnificent job at Rye News and been so constructive in publishing my little stories about the Tuesday Painters Club of Rye.

  2. On behalf of Rye Players, I want to thank James, Kt and Juliet for their tireless support of everything we do. Rye is extremely fortunate to have benefited from the expertise these volunteers have given freely to the community. It is an added bonus that they are all lovely people too.

  3. My thanks to all the volunteers at Rye News. It’s so important that we are kept informed about local events and that we have a voice too. The decline of the conventional local press has been bad for democracy – we need the modern alternative. Come back soon!

  4. We have been extraordinarily lucky to have Rye News led by such a high calibre, experienced editor in James Stewart, made all the more remarkable for him doing it in a voluntary capacity. It’s a demanding job, no matter if it is local or national. It’s going to be a very hard act to follow but with luck, effort and some clever tech it will get there.

  5. Thanks are due to everyone who has kept this remarkable publication going for the last 12 years. It is so important to have local news stories freely available, I’m looking forward to the return of a new look Rye News.

  6. Sorry to see key staff standing down but they’ve put a long shift in ! Great publication, local news for local people. Look forward to its return.
