On the crest of the wave

It’s not every day you have a group of men turn up on your doorstep ready to entertain you with a selection of sea shanties, but this is exactly what happened at Peasmarsh Place Care Home, earlier this month.

They loved it!

The residents were delighted to listen and join in with some hearty singing from the Pett Slip Buoys, a voluntary, independent lifeboat crew who featured in Rye News in September (Pett lifeboat launches shanty group)

A lovely opportunity to relax and enjoy live singing

Peasmarsh Place care home will certainly invite these chaps back again for more harmonies and humour but they are fast becoming very popular, so if you fancy doing the same, book them quickly as if you don’t… you may be disappointed.
