Do you know where Diva lived? Do you know where Lucia and Georgie stayed on their first visit to Tilling? Find out. Enter the world of EF Benson. See the places associated with both the Mapp and Lucia stories and the writer himself, taking in the houses used in the recent BBC series. With Allan Downend, secretary of the EF Benson Society as your guide, the walk starts at the look-out platform at the eastern end of the High Street and ends at Lamb House, which is open to the public on a Saturday. This was where Benson lived and, as Mallards in the novels, was Miss Mapp’s home. The walks cost £6.95 a person and the 2015 dates are:

  • May 23
  • June 6, 20
  • July 4, 18
  • August 1, 15, 29
  • September 5

For further details, and to arrange other dates, see the Benson Society website.
