A fond farewell

Rod Vidler and his wife Judy have been involved with the RNLI since 2007 and sadly we are having to say farewell to them both as they leave for pastures new.

Rod said, “One of my favourite memories was whilst driving the tractor which got stuck in a mud hole. Members of the public were watching so our press officer told them it was done on purpose for a training session. This was the first and only time I ever got the tractor stuck. We have also made great friends.”

Judy worked as a fundraiser for the RNLI and was one of the first volunteers to work in the shop when it opened.

They will be missed around the village and by the crew at the lifeboat station. We wish them much happiness in their new home.
