A message from the Rye and District Bonfire Society:

AGM
Ordinarily, Wednesday, March 10 would have been our AGM but obviously, due to Covid-19 restrictions, this cannot be done. As we know, government advice is that AGMs should be deferred, therefore our next AGM will be our next physical meeting whenever that might be, but we will of course discuss the possibility of putting on Rye Fawkes should Covid-19 restrictions/authorities allow and our security company be prepared to step up for us again.

Memberships
In the interim period we will assume that memberships are running on and subscription renewal will be at that AGM.

Insurance
Just a reminder that we have not renewed the insurance this year so now individuals attending any events will be doing so on their own liability and not as Rye Bonfire members. As and when we can start fundraising (quizzes etc.) we will take out the appropriate insurance for these events as they happen.

Fund Raising
It would have been hoped to run an auction of promises, but we have been mindful that the majority of our donors have not had the opportunity to earn money for some time any more than the bidders would have money in their pockets. Keep safe and we will keep you up to date.
