Saturday September 19 is Fair Trade Day and there will be a coffee morning in St Mary’s Centre from 10:30am-12:30pm with Fairtrade coffee, tea and biscuits. Fairtrade crafts and groceries will be on sale and dancers from the Rye Dance Centre will be performing at 11am. Fair Trade Day is concerned with ensuring suppliers get fair prices from buyers – particularly as suppliers in poorer under-developed countries are often not treated fairly by buyers from the richer, developed countries.
