Paris here they come, Splitz Dance Academy auditioned for a chance to showcase their work in Disneyland Paris and have this week found out that they have been chosen to perform in the summer. It is such a brilliant chance for youngsters to have a taste of the stage at such an early age, and what a stage too.

Stacey Caister is the driving force and energy behind the wonderful dance school Splitz based in Rye and when we met this week she had some fantastic news to impart: “We are incredibly excited and proud to announce that a group of our students has successfully auditioned and been accepted to perform at Disneyland Paris in the summer of 2024. We last performed at Disney just before COVID19 struck and to be able to get that opportunity again with a fresh group of students is just brilliant. It is truly an amazing experience, and we are so thrilled to be able to offer students the chance to make these memories for a lifetime.

“The planning and organising for this opportunity started early this year and we began rehearsing in the summer with a group of students aged 5-15 years. All the students have worked and practised so hard for the Musical Theatre audition of two songs and dances which was then sent via a recording to Disney. The nervous wait was over as of last week when we were proud to announce to the students, with confetti cannons and all, that they had been successful against such tough competition!

“The hard work now continues for the team as we prepare a showcase of twenty minutes to be performed at Disney for the masses to enjoy! Students and their families will be joining us on the trip and will also get to stay on site and enjoy the theme park too! We are very proud to be able to offer this and other amazing performance opportunities for our students at Splitz.”

Although this opportunity has already been cast, new students are always welcome at the studios for future events and anyone interested in joining the Splitz family should please get in contact with Principal Stacey via email:
