Hearing bus visits

From time to time Jempsons by the railway station has helpful exhibitions and the one pictured above featured the police, while next Thursday’s exhibition (April 25 from 10:30am to 3:30pm) features a bus providing free services to the hard of hearing.

East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre (ESHRC) is a registered charity working in partnership with Adult Social Care (ASC) to provide a no charge mobile information and advice for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people living in East Sussex.

The vehicle is equipped to offer demonstrations of assistive equipment and hearing screening tests and will be in Jempsons Car Park in Rye next Thursday.

The bus is accessible to wheelchair users and representatives from both ESHRC and ASC will be available to provide individual information and advice on all aspects of hearing loss.
