Rye Old Scholars Association are planning a reunion on October 3 for all those who were at Rye Grammar School, Rye County Secondary School, and Thomas Peacocke School during the 1960s – but those who were there in the late 1950s or early 1970s would be welcome too, writes Margaret O’Neill. The event is to be held in the Milligan Theatre (the former School Hall) at Rye College (the old Rye Grammar School building) from 7:30-11:30 pm. It promises to be a great evening but, as always with a function like this, its success depends on how many are there. So if you are in contact with any old scholars from that era, do let them know about it and spread the word.
