Town's Luke Willis takes a dive

Rye Town’s Luke Willis is brushing up on his diving technique. No, we are not talking about diving on the football pitch.  He is preparing to sky dive, on May 12 for Charity For Kids that supports disabled and ill children in Hastings and the surrounding areas.
Luke decided to choose Charity For Kids with his daughter Ellissia as this charity has helped her cousin who has spina bifida, providing her with a wheelchair and a special trike. You can see this amazing little girl’s story on Facebook .
Luke has received £55 in donation so far, therefore he still has a fair way to go to reach his target of £500.

Back on the field only one game, St Leonards Social v Ore Athletic survived the weather on Saturday February 3 in the East Sussex Premier League. Town’s match with Crowhurst was one of the many casualties of the elements being called off by the referee.
With around three quarters of the season played, Town find themselves in 3rd place in the League after 13 games.  They are level on 26 points with 2nd place Hollington United but behind on goal difference and 2 points behind league leaders Battle Baptists.
Town’s Richard Weller is currently the league’s third highest scorer with 12 goals to date and Charlie Stevens is in seventh position with 6 goals to his name during this campaign.

This Saturday February 10, Rye Town have a league match versus 7th placed Hawkhurst United at The Moor, kick off is at 2pm.  The match sponsor is Tony Hailey Country Service Ltd & Log Deliverys.
