The Bell at Iden public meeting

In November last year Rye News ran an article Save the Bell at Iden which looked at the future of the pub which is currently closed and available to purchase. A Community Benefit Society lead by Martin Chalet has been set up to investigate ways to secure the future of this ‘local’ with a view to purchasing the pub as a community asset.

A public meeting has been organised for Wednesday May 1 from 7.00pm-9.00pm at Iden Village Hall when Martin on behalf of The Bell at Iden Community will update and share progress made to date, talk about future plans and initiatives and explain how you can show your support and get involved.

Doors are open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start and the evening will include a raffle to raise funds. Everyone is welcome to come along and as an added incentive there will be a pop up cash pub, perhaps a taste of things to come?

A sign of the times
