Dear Sir
Prior to the sponsored walks we arranged at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve on 20 March on behalf of ‘Walking With the Wounded and ‘Combat Stress’, this newspaper was kind enough to publish articles about the event. The weather was not kind to us on 20 March, but I am delighted to report that we still had plenty of people supporting us and that over £600 was collected on the day. When this is added to the sums donated to our giving website, we have now reached a total of over £3000, which will be divided between the 2 charities. This is an excellent result and we are so grateful to those who did so much to help us in the organising, those who contributed to the website and to those who joined us on the day; thank you all.
