Perfect weather on the day and 86 riders aged from 12-80 took part in Rye and District Wheelers “Up for Lunch” Charity Cycle Ride on Sunday September 6, writes Paul Simpson. Starting and finishing at the ARRCC centre in Rye, the courses ranged from a very easy 20K led ride via the Coastal Path from Rye Harbour to Winchelsea to a very testing hilly 100K ride to the top of Brightling.

All riders enjoyed their chosen ride immensely and we hope to see them again next year to take part in this now-to-be annual event. The staff of the ARRCC centre manned their cafe and served well received refreshments before and after the rides. The Rye Wheelers will be presenting a cheque to cover all the entry fees, which currently stand at £622.
