Some may already know the band Scarletta Heart, the popular cover band, as they perform in the pubs of Rye. The group has been together for a while, then took some time out and many of us are pleased they are back to perform several gigs so keep a look out where they appear next. A couple of weeks ago they played in a local garden with various other musicians to raise money for the Macmillan charity.

On Saturday, July 5 they have organised a charity gig at the Waterworks brewery and taproom on Rye Road, Playden, ten minutes from Rye town, which of course has the original Waterworks on Cinque Ports Street, both being very popular. The music evening is for Macmillan cancer research and other causes needing support. A truly special venue with a great atmosphere, award winning traditional ales and ciders along with all the usual drinks you expect from a pub.
It’s well worth going along and be entertained by Scarletta Heart, from 7pm-9pm, playing a great variety of music. There is something for everyone and you can check them out on youtube and facebook. Tatner’s food van will be there from 4pm selling fantastic street food.
