Graham Hodge, the organiser of Kent and Sussex CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Beer Festival, which is held in June, presented David Roder and Tim Morgan with their tenth CAMRA award on Saturday night, September 20 at the Waterworks Brewery in Playden.
This award was given for the public’s choice of the best beer at the festival. David and Tim won it last year and were thrilled to receive it once again this year. Graham said that he is looking forward to the next festival: can David and Tim make it a hat-trick?

David, as we all know, although not prone to public speaking (not much!) announced how pleased they both were and observed that they obviously must be doing something right.
Graham and his co-drinkers arrived in style in a wonderful vintage bus. The world of CAMRA is a warm and friendly community, and everyone in the pub cheered: could this have been connected with the fact that this was their fourth stop of the afternoon tasting the local beers? Perhaps!
The video says it all.

…and the legend continues to grow!
Claudia and I wear our waterworks tee shirts with great pride!
Well done Tim and Dave for all you are doing at the tap room
David and Ula should be given / awarded Knighthoods. Their unstinting, selfless hard work has changed the lives of so many Ryers since 2018, along with participation in a number of charitable causes.
Well done David, Ula and your fabulous team.
