Rye Community Primary School says a supply teacher struck off for making adult content online “worked intermittently” at the school and “robust policies” were followed.

The Teaching Regulations Agency (TRA) handed down the ruling after finding Lyndi Corston had appeared on pornographic websites, including OnlyFans.

The supply teacher was regularly placed at the Rye school from November 2022.

Concerns were first raised in September 2024 after an OnlyFans push notification was seen on Ms Corston’s phone by a colleague. She closed the account when asked.

In January 2025 her teaching agency was told Ms Corston had been identified on a pornographic website engaging in sexual activity.

In its ruling, the TRA said, “The conduct of Ms Corston amounted to misconduct of a serious nature which fell significantly short of the standards expected of the profession.”

It also noted the supply teacher had an otherwise unblemished career and had apologized for her actions.

A spokesperson for Rye Community Primary School said, “We are aware that an individual who worked at our school through a third-party agency, on a short term, supply basis, has been the subject of a professional conduct panel hearing by the Teaching Regulation Agency. Whilst her actions did not occur in the course of teaching and children were not directly impacted, in line with our robust policies for professional standards, we took immediate and appropriate action.”

The school said it had referred the matter to the relevant agencies and had fully followed the advice and recommendations provided throughout. “We remain committed to maintaining high standards for professional conduct for the benefit of our school community.”

Lyndi Corston has been banned from teaching, although the ban can be reviewed in January 2028.
