St Michael’s Hospice is encouraging people to gather their friends and family and sign up for Moonlight Walk this September with a special four for the price of three ticket offer, available until 8 September. Returning on Saturday 26 September, Moonlight Walk will see hundreds of people come together for a memorable evening of reflection, celebration and community spirit, all in support of local hospice care.
Participants can enjoy a magical 7km route along the Hastings and St Leonards seafront, illuminated by glow sticks, lanterns, fairy lights and live entertainment. The walk provides a unique opportunity to remember loved ones, celebrate special memories and connect with others who have experienced loss.
To help more people experience the event together, St Michael’s Hospice is offering a limited-time four for three ticket deal, making it the perfect opportunity to gather a group of friends, family members, colleagues or fellow dog walkers and get your glow on for local hospice care. The evening begins and ends at The Stade, where participants can enjoy a lively event village featuring food stalls, refreshments and entertainment.
Many participants take part in memory of someone special, finding comfort in sharing the experience with others. Helen and Mark took part in the event last year for the first time, in memory of their brother Dave. Mark said, “It was surprising how many people that we knew had been through something similar and were taking part too. We were all here together.”
Helen added, “The atmosphere was lovely. Everyone was there for their own reasons but all with something in common. Dave would not have wanted us to be sad. I’m pleased we all took part and I think Dave would have been pleased that we enjoyed the evening and took comfort in the companionship.”
