Rye College is hosting two screenings for Cardiac Risk in the Young on February 3 and 4. This fantastic opportunity to take part in the screenings is right on your doorstep at the college and is not to be missed. It is open to any young person in the community aged between fourteen and thirty-five, even those who feel perfectly fit and healthy – it could be lifesaving.

Team Ben Hammond are championing this opportunity as they lost their teenage son to a heart attack with no previous symptoms.

Steve Hammond from Team Ben Hammond, has posted this information on Facebook:

“The first of six screening days this year have been available to book since the beginning of the year They’re for February 3 and 4 and for the first time we will be holding these two days at Rye College. There were 200 spaces and there are still many spaces available now. Currently these spaces are open to local people only. Soon the remaining spaces will be offered to a much wider catchment, and they will fill up quickly.

“Please don’t pass this opportunity up for yourself, your family and friends any young person aged between fourteen and thirty-five are eligible even if you feel perfectly fit and healthy. From tragic experience I can say that turning up for a screening may well save a life!
