Community radio station Cinque Ports Radio will now be serving Rye and the surrounding area for another five years. Regulator Ofcom has renewed its licence to broadcast until February 2030.

Owner and Station Manager James Clark is delighted. “This is such great news for Cinque
Ports Radio. We have all worked so hard to grow the station into a truly local Radio
Station that the area can be proud off. Now Ofcom has granted this extension we
will continue to push the station forward and invest in innovative technology, offer
people the chance to be on the radio and continue to help support our local
community by giving them a voice.”

Cinque Ports Radio says over 11,000 people tuned in during April across an area that  includes Hythe, Tenterden and Dungeness. It also now broadcasts reports from Rye News each Friday. James Clark hopes more local people will get involved. “We are always looking for people to come and join us. Get in touch on email on info@cprfm.com or call us on 01797 458 789. We are also offering advertising packages that start at just £4.96 a day!”
