An hour of poetry

There’s an hour of poetry at Rye Library with BAFTA Award-winning writer, poet, TV & film producer Henry Normal later this month.

Henry co-wrote The Royle Family, Gavin and Stacey, Alan Partridge and the Oscar nominated film Philomena.

He’ll be joined at the library by poet, writer, performer and law librarian Tim Barlow. Last year Henry and Tim’s show was enthusiastically received by library customers who told us:

“Interesting, entertaining, funny and free what more can you ask for?”

“It was really funny and moving!”

This is another chance to catch Henry and Tim’s Poetry Hour. It’s on Wednesday, 30 July 30, 2-3pm at Rye Library.

You can book tickets on 0345 60 80 196

  1. Grounded Poetry group’s next meeting is at 19:00, Monday 4th of August. If anyone fancies joining us. Read us anything you have written or a favourite Poem. Grounded is No7 Lion Street.

  2. My friends corrected me. It’s actually the 21st of July, not the 4th of August – I am running on northern time, which is obviously a week ahead. 😉
