“There will be growth in spring” is the title of Rye Art Gallery’s (RAG) 2021 exhibition to mark the 70th anniversary of the Rye Society of Artists (RSA). Opening on Saturday, March 20, it will run to Saturday May 1 (pandemic restrictions permitting).
Alongside this year’s RSA exhibition, Nick Archer will be staging a solo show of his work in Gallery 3, entitled “Somewhere the Grass Is Greener”, whilst in the Stormont/Mackechnie Studios there will be an exhibition of the Rye Art Gallery’s “Permanent Collections Works”
This will feature RSA members both past and present, comprising works acquired, gifted and on loan. Amongst these will be a large gouache by Gus Cummins, the latest Rye News‘ Artist of the Week – and another example of his work is featured above..
Although Rye Art Gallery remains closed, works may still be purchased through its website.
