A new and exciting singing club for children is starting in Rye, on Monday, September 20 – for all primary aged children (year 1 – year 6).
Marian Ham, a local music teacher, is leading this club on behalf of the Music Well, which is a very successful Rye based music therapy service – themusicwell.org.uk. Marian says “the Music Well believe in the value of music for all people / children in supporting wellbeing and mental health.
“Singing together in a club with others, has huge benefits for children’s confidence, their wellbeing, their social skills, improving their singing skills and… is great fun!”
The children’s singing club will take place at the Rye Creative Arts Centre, Mondays 4pm to 5pm, and is being offered free to all children for at least one year. It will be a weekly club, fully inclusive.
The Fairlight Arts Trust is fully funding the club, which is great news. There is free parking on site and a café.
