Hastings Arts Forum at 20 Marine Court, St Leonards on Sea, had its opening day last Saturday, July 4, which everyone involved was very happy about. But there have been changes. The owner of the building wants to sell it, and one of the two rooms the Forum had occupied needed renovation.

Alan White – Festival Mask

However, artists and volunteers worked hard to create a workable space in the second room and it works very successfully. The room is light, bright and offers a pleasant open space and the present exhibition is an interesting offering with a variety of art pieces.

Lesley Barker – Eventide

The show is the work of different artists, who are involved in hanging all the shows and, to make it safe for staff and visitors there are sanitisers / hand towels on entry, and on the desk as well a plastic shield where people pay by card only. A sign explains that only three people can be in the gallery at one time and must follow the government guidelines to keep their distance.

A new exhibition ‘Changing Spaces’ will be following from July 14 – 26 and Harry Tryphonos from July 28 – August 9.
