Despite a weekend of stormy conditions, year two went ahead as planned, and what a
celebration it turned out to be!

Despite the wind and rain making the site set-up a true challenge for our stallholders and contractors, Rye’s community spirit shone through, and we were delighted to welcome so many visitors, including international groups, braving the weather to support local producers and sample everything the fair had to offer.

The live music and entertainment lifted our spirits, and when the sun broke through on Saturday afternoon, it felt like a reward for everyone’s perseverance.

Three special events – Stand-Up Comedy, Harvest Hoedown, and Jazz Breakfast, were a real highlight as was the Serenata Hospitality Food Theatre, and there are already plans afoot to expand the programme next year. We are especially grateful to the Cricket Club, our funders, sponsors and supporters, whose generosity made the fair possible. We were blessed with an outstanding team of contractors and volunteers who worked tirelessly in tough conditions to keep things running smoothly, without their hard work and good humour, none of this would have been possible.

From myself and everyone on my incredible team: Thank you for being part of it, and we can’t wait to welcome you back in 2026!
