The Silver Room at the Kino in Rye now has a new state-of-the-art projector and cinematic screen which means that it is capable of screening the same films as its Blue and Red cinemas. Comfortable armchairs will be able to seat twenty-five people for an intimate cinema experience. Air-conditioning has been installed which will mean that it is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The seating is not static and can be moved around to suit any occasion.

Customers have the option of hiring the cinema for a private screening party. They can play their favourite film on Blu-ray format and Neal, the manager, was proud to announce that Netflix or Amazon streaming was also available using the Kino’s wi-fi.

He commented: “The advantage of this upgrading of equipment is that it means that the Silver Room can play cinema films that are in the other two screens and that gives the Kino the flexibility to keep films for longer if they are proving popular. This will give the customers that little extra bit of service and give them more time to catch the latest film. We live busy lives and often people miss a film because it just isn’t on for long enough.”

If you wish to hire the Silver Room for a private function get in touch by phoning 01797 226293 or email: manager.rye@kinodigital.co.uk

The Silver Room will be screening films in December for its customers. The date will be announced shortly.
