Following on Heidi Foster’s report in Rye News last week, the organisers of the 2017 Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition (HIPCC) have released more information about the winner.

Twenty three year old Kenneth Broberg, who comes from Plymouth, Minnesota, USA, won the competition, with a commanding rendition of the rarely performed Gershwin Piano Concerto in F.

He is one of only thirty contestants to be accepted for the prestigious 2017 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas at the end of May and we wish him well in his next competition. We hope to have him back performing in Hastings later in the year. (Source: HIPCC)
