The season of open gardens in aid of St Michael’s Hospice continues this weekend at Winchelsea Beach. The public are being invited to view the gardens on Saturday 6 June 10.30am until 4pm.

It’s a half an hour walk to see all the gardens or about 1.3 miles taking in The Ridge, Sea Road and Smeaton’s Lane.

A spokesperson for St Michael’s Hospice said, ” Running throughout the summer, the Open Gardens bring together an eclectic mix of outdoor spaces. From compact courtyards bursting with colour to sweeping coastal plots and wildlife friendly havens. Each garden reflects the personality, creativity and passion of its host, many of whom will be on hand to answer questions, share tips and talk about the stories behind their gardens.”

Gardens in Rye and Winchelsea will be open on Saturday 20 June.

St Michael’s Hospice needs to raise £7 million a year to continue providing care and support to the community of Hastings and Rother. The Hospice’s services are free of charge. For more information visit stmichaelshospice.com
