The Campaign For Action in Rye (CFAiR) will be having a training session on dementia awareness before its monthly meeting next Thursday November 19 at 6pm in the Tilling Green Community Centre. This is free and open to anyone and the trainer is Daliea Redman, a local resident and co-chair of Rye and District Dementia Alliance (RADDA).

Tracy Dighton, CFAiR Secretary, said: “We are delighted to support RADDA in its plan to get as many Rye people as possible to recognise and deal sympathetically with people who have dementia. We are gearing up to signing the National Dementia Declaration which sets out to transform the lives of people with dementia and their carers. People with dementia are valued members of our community and we need to do what we can to convey that feeling”.
