Following the resounding success of last year’s show, St Michael’s Hospice is pleased to announce the Rye Country Show will be returning this August under its new name, the Rye and District Country Show, on Saturday August 13.

Jenny Yeo and her hardworking committee have chosen Elm Tree Farm off the A259 near Icklesham (known for its Boot Fairs) as the new venue for the event, which will still include horse and dog shows, classic cars, country crafts and much more.

Perdita Chamberlain, Head of Fundraising at the Hospice said “The Rye Country Show was a truly fantastic day out for all the family. There was a great atmosphere and the sun was shining! We are truly grateful to everyone on the Rye Show Committee for their support.

“The Hospice supports the whole of Hastings and Rother so it was great to be able to raise awareness of our services in the Rye area, as well as receive such a generous cheque of £16,463. Thank you to everyone who was involved.

“We are absolutely delighted to learn the Rye and District Country Show committee have chosen St Michael’s Hospice, once again, as the event beneficiary. We look forward to working with the committee on what promises to be another fantastic day out for all the family.”

The Rye and District Country Show Committee and the Hospice are already looking forward to and planning this year’s show.
