Just when you thought it’s all over, once again there have been utility issues to address in Mermaid Street resulting in another road closure.

By Monday, July 6, Clancy Docwra had excavated the cobbles with new pipework awaiting connection, in the meantime the road was temporarily closed at the base of Mermaid Street with the junction of The Mint.

Tuesday 7 July at 07.30 am, there it was, gone!

Meanwhile, on Hilders Cliff the excavations are getting bigger and the area reserved for the contractors vehicles is now taking up most of the parking bay.
