Every good summer fete has a dog show, and the Green Waves Community Festival is no different. On Saturday, August 30, beginning at noon, Ellie Bourn of Ellie’s Pet Services is sponsoring, and will be judging, the dog show.

Ellie was born and raised in Rye. She studied animal care at Plumpton College as well as undertaking work experience on a farm and at Mallydams wildlife rescue centre and says: “We have always had animals growing up and I can’t imagine life without them.”

As a young entrepreneur she set up her own dog walking business in April 2022 then progressed into day care and boarding at her home as well as nail clipping and teeth cleaning. Ellie started a new venture, Luna’s Recipe dog food, in August 2024 to bring great all natural nutrition to more dogs and has also been organising dog shows at the Winchelsea Fete since 2021.
