The photo above shows Rye’s very own town crier in full voice as he features on a video which is to be released on April 12, and produced by Jane Brook of On Tap on behalf of Rye Chamber of Commerce.
The video is one of a trilogy of promotional videos announcing to the world that ‘Rye is Open’ and most of it will be come April 12 when the reopening of non-essential shops, bars and restaurants takes place (initially only outside) at last.
The first video in the series has already received over a 1,000 views, the second ‘Rye is open’ video was released on April 7 promoting Rye as part of the re-opening campaign.
Rye Chamber has been very busy promoting the town and their latest campaign, Rye Blooms has received great support from chamber members and, before too long, you will see colourful hanging baskets adorning many buildings in the town which will be planted up once the frost has passed – and there are a few planted wicker hanging baskets available to members, email ryechamber31@gmail.com to order.
