The sun shone on Saturday September 20 and I was able to watch some of the match between Rye Town FC and Westfield at the rugby club, sandwiched in between Rye Arts Festival events. The club is run by such dedicated coaches and the players certainly play their hearts out. It is a big pitch and the play is fast and furious.
Sam Foulkes is on the mend after his broken leg at the beginning of the season, and although he can’t play yet he was there on the sidelines supporting his team.
The final score was Rye Town FC 1 Westfield 2 and Man of the Match was Sam Henham.
