Jurys Gap fatal crash investigations

The man who died following a collision in Camber has been named as 27-year-old Ben Richards from St Leonards.

Emergency services were called to Jurys Gap Road on Wednesday 4 February at around 4.50am. He was declared deceased at the scene.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said, “His next of kin were informed and continue to be supported as enquiries continue around the circumstances of the collision. A file is being prepared for HM Coroner.”

In a tribute to Ben, his parents provided his photograph and said, “He was the most perfect son you could ever ask for. He was so easy going and laid back, a really positive guy.”

Sussex Police are continuing the search for more information or dashcam footage about the incident. “Officers would also like to speak to anyone who was with Ben the evening prior to the collision on (Tuesday 3 February) in relation to enquiries and encourage them to come forward.”
