They did go to Specsavers

Rye Bowls Club has a new strip, courtesy of their sponsor Specsavers.

Seen above, resplendent in their new club colours, are the team drawn to play in the first match of the season, against Northiam.

The club’s new strip incorporates its original colours, while also reflecting those of Specsavers. The adoption of the new contemporary look kit is another step in the rejuvenation of Rye Bowls Club, following it becoming self-managed, and after Rother District Council dropped all financial support for this local facility.

We want to take this opportunity to thank Specsavers Tenterden for their generous sponsorship and support.

Over the past two years membership has more than doubled, but to secure its lasting future it needs more to join, especially younger players. The new look club strip reflects this strategic change.

Why not come and join us, as a player (scratch beginners welcome), or just as a social member.

Open “roll-ups” are held on Monday (from 12.00am to 2.00pm), Wednesday and Friday (10.00am to 12.00am) and Tuesday evenings (6.00pm to 8.00pm). Note that each of these are subject to there NOT being a club match or special event, on the home green that day. To check availability, please give us a call, and we can provide bowls to get you started.
