Rye Creative Centre has held its first exhibition of work by students taught at workshops and classes at the centre. Over the weekend of Friday 17 July to Sunday 19 July, work produced in painting, drawing and sculpture classes led by tutors Nick Archer, Georgie Watson and Stephanie Rubin were on display at the show, Class Act.

Over 30 people entered their work which demonstrated the wide range of disciplines and abilities, and the breadth of the work being produced at Rye Creative Centre. Below is a small selection of some of them.

Thanks for sharing this Juliet! Our next exhibition will be Goodbye Freda, possibly the last exhibition of works by studio holders before Rye Creative Centre relocates to Rye Harbour. Everyone is welcome to the opening 5-8pm on Thursday 10 September
The old school building was always going to be a short time let for Rye Creative Centre, and now has served its purpose, and hopefully those artists will soon be rehoused, let’s hope development starts soon after on this site,as we do not want to see the site stand empty and derelict, like the one in ferry road
