Around 25 local writers wrote a piece from the proverb ‘A Garden in my Pocket’, about a garden, plant or view  Written by local writers a piece about a Garden, plant or view. The clever concept is that artists then made art  that  the words evoked.

The result is a unique and eclectic mix of art works, From collage and mixed media to water colour and oils through to clay and pottery pieces.
A great number of supporters of The Smallhythe Gallery came along for the all day view and the number of red dots signified that they liked what they saw. The writers and artists talked about their work in the afternoon, giving insight to the process and thought behind both aspects of the work. A very enjoyable experience I hear.
Catch the exhibition before it finishes on May 20th. It is open from 11am to 5pm  everyday except Sundays and Mondays.
