A splendid evening of music from the 1920s and 1930s is promised on Saturday night. Kate Garner and her band are performing “Songs from the Art Deco Decades” at the Milligan Theatre in Rye College with a mix of the excitement and sophistication of the era centre stage. And Kate was so thrilled that the Wurlitzer organ is in Rye she promises to feature it in the show.
As well as much loved standards Kate and her band will be giving a sneak preview of the musical she has written and performing songs from “Mapp and Lucia”.
Kate is the daughter of Chas from Chas and Dave and so has a musical pedigree. She also has an enduring love for Rye and its fictional characters. Why not  come  along and share  the love?
The concert is being put on as an out of season special by Rye Arts Festival. Tickets are £15 and can be purchased online at ryeartsfestival.org.uk or from Grammar School Records or on the door.
