Auditions are taking place later this month for Rye Players’ murder mystery which will be performed at Rye Community Centre in May.
Murder on the Catwalk is written by local writer and Rye Player,, Larry Wilson, and will be directed by Pat Driver.
Informal auditions are taking place in the back room at the Queen’s Head in Rye on Monday 26 January from 6.30pm. There’s also the chance to find out about joining Rye Players in behind the scenes roles.
Pat Driver says she is looking forward to putting on the show. “Larry Wilson has come up with a cracking plot that we’ll stage as a murder mystery evening at the community centre. The crime takes place during Paris Fashion Week previews and we’ll be getting the audience involved in the arrest of the culprit.
“We’re after actors, costume designers with a flare for the bizarre, tech crew and anybody who’d like to roll their sleeves up and get involved with the best community theatre in Rye.”
The new show follows Rye Players’ hugely successful panto which was staged at Rye Theatre just before Christmas. 93% of the available tickets were sold.
