A pantomime is such good fun,
And this weekend we’ll give you one.
Old Mother Hubbard‘s on in Rye:
She’ll make you laugh so much you’ll cry.
A witty script and classy sets;
A maiden, witches, talking pets.
An evil duke, a man in drag, a
Hero with a jaunty swagger.
It’s nice to see a star-crossed pair,
Have foes to deal with everywhere.
It’s camp as well ‘cos, in the end, though,
We all love an innuendo.
The music’s brill, the action’s fast.
Will true love save the day at last?

Old Mother Hubbard is on at the Rye Community Centre, Conduit Hill. Tickets are £6 for adults, £4 for children. Show times are: Friday November 21, 7:30pm; Saturday November 22, 2:30pm and 7.30pm. Doors open 30 minutes before each show starts and there is a licensed bar.
