Tired of dancing alone in your kitchen? Rye’s about to turn up the volume. On Saturday November 29, the Rye Community Centre transforms into a glittery haven for partygoers as Rye Discotheque lights up the night from 7pm to 11:30pm.
Hosted by locals Sarah Tarry and Toby Melville Brown, the night promises three live DJs (names to be announced), spinning everything from 70s disco grooves to 2000s bangers and modern club classics. Basically, if it makes you want to throw shapes, it’s on the playlist.
“Toby and I were looking for somewhere to go dancing and couldn’t find what we were after, so we decided to put a night on ourselves! We want to get the community out dancing and feel joyful,” said Sarah.
Toby added: “We’re so excited to get people together, we all deserve a good boogie!”
This is a no-pressure, high-energy night out for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned dance floor professional or just someone who enjoys a bop and a sensible bedtime.
