Four of the artists invited by the Rye Society of Artists (RSA) to exhibit their work in the Spring Exhibition at Rye Art Gallery were voted into the society at their AGM on Saturday 2 May.
Karl Terry, vice-chair of RSA said, “We are delighted to welcome A Lincoln Taber, the painter; printmaker Tessa Holmes; painter Jillian Eldridge and artist Dominic Zwemmer. Each member will have their work included in the society’s 75th Anniversary Summer Exhibition which runs from Friday 31 July until Monday 31 August. On behalf of the society I’d like to congratulate them and extend our warmest welcome.”
The four were selected from the Fred Cuming shortlist which was introduced by the RSA in 2023 in memory of the highly respected member, Fred Cuming RA, as a way to recognise outstanding work by non-members selected for the RSA Summer Exhibition.
