Iden villagers gathered outside Iden Stores at closing time to bid a fond farewell to Chris and Sally, who have left us after seven years. Morris Metcalf, chair of Iden Stores Association, made a presentation and expressed the appreciation of everyone who has used the stores during Chris and Sally’s tenure. They have always gone the extra mile to be of service, especially during the last two years. We already miss the superb baking and the excellent wine selections, but I am sure that they are not missing the early mornings.
We are delighted to welcome new tenant Kamal to Iden and hope that he will soon feel at home in the village.
