Rye Mutual Aid (RMA) is to distribute the remainder of raised funds to local, community groups via grants of up to £1,000.

RMA was set up in March 2020 to help support our local community at the start of the Covid-19 health crisis. Our community rallied together and many made donations to help support our efforts. Thanks to this, hundreds of RMA volunteers were able to complete over 3,000 requests of help.

Three years on, RMA is now dormant and we would like to donate the remaining funds to charities and community groups in Rye town and other RMA zones up to a maximum of £1,000 per organisation – both for specific projects and / or for ongoing costs.

Applicants must be in operation within the original RMA zones; this includes Rye, Playden, Rye Foreign, Udimore, Winchelsea, Winchelsea Beach, Rye Harbour, Beckley, Camber & East Guldeford, Icklesham, Broad Oak, Brede, Pett, Pett Level, Peasmarsh & Westfield.

The full criteria and information for the grants can be found on the application form.

Applications being taken as of April 24 and the closing date is 30 June.
