The re-opening of the country market was cause for celebration for more than 40 people who turned out at 10am last Friday morning. It was refreshing to see familiar faces first in the very orderly queue in the lobby and then behind the stalls in the hall at the Rye Community Centre.

The fresh vegetables and homemade produce were a magnet for all of us, and the sociability of tea or coffee with friends afterwards was a special reward. Thank you again to Trish and her team who bring all this to life week by week.
