East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to a roof fire in the main building of Pontins, Camber Sands. Firefighters from Rye, Hastings, Eastbourne and Bexhill were called out at 3:19pm on Wednesday, May 3 to reports of a fire.
Crews used a hose reel jet to fight the fire and there are no reports of casualties.
Police and ambulance were also in attendance, the cause is being treated as accidental. The situation was soon under control and the incident has been left in the hands of building control.
A re-inspection was due to take place by local crews on the evening of the incident but no further reports of their findings were available at the time of publication.
