The season of flower festivals has started, writes Kenneth Bird. Over the end of May bank holiday weekend, the churches of both St Mary’s Rye and St Peter & St Paul Peasmarsh will be colourfully decked out, St Mary’s adopting as its theme “In Which We Serve.” St Mary’s: Saturday 9:30 -5pm; Sunday and Monday 12-5pm and St Peter & St Paul: Saturday 10am-6pm; Sunday 11am-6pm and Monday 10am-6pm.
