Sally-Ann Hart, Conservative MP for Hastings and Rye visited the Rye Heritage Centre last week where she was greeted by Simon Parsons, manager of the centre, Chris Hoggart, chairman of trustees, and Martin Blincow, trustee of the centre.

While expressing her recognition of the hard work put in by the trustees and dedicated volunteers, the challenges and financial vulnerability of the centre were highlighted by Simon Parsons who said: “It’s all about survival right now. Success depends on footfall through the door, and with the loss of foreign visitors and coach tours because of the pandemic, times are particularly challenging”.
