Dr Nizam Mohammed who runs the local street pastors is pictured holding a cheque for £571-78, donated by Dominic Plomer-Roberts of behalf of Jempsons. The amount of the cheque represents the cost of insurance of the street pastor’s vehicle which is for the second year running funded by Jempson’s.  The group, now numbering some ten volunteers in all, was formed 12 months ago  and now turns out on alternate weeks, Friday nights in Camber and Saturdays nights in Rye. Additional volunteers are always welcome and interested parties should contact their local church to find out how they can get involved.

Members of the team pictured from left are: Dr Nizam Mohammend, Zenie Mohammed, Jenny Anstead, Nigel Foy, Shirley Harris (administrator) and Malcolm Harris.
