Rother District Council (RDC) wants to hear from business, but a last minute message to Rye News was probably not the way to go about it.
The following message was received on Monday morning for meetings on Wednesday and Thursday – before Rye News publishes this week. But I understand from Councillor Andrew Mier that RDC will still be interested in any input from business.
Rother’s message read: “Councillor Christine Bayliss, Rother cabinet member for economic development and regeneration, is hosting Zoom calls with people who are self-employed or run local businesses.
“She wants to listen to how people are facing up to the challenges of lockdown, making the most of new opportunities, and what more Rother District Council could do to support our economy. There are two opportunities to have your say:
Rye, Winchelsea and Camber – Wednesday 20 May 7pm
Battle and Rural Rother – Thursday 21 May, 7pm
Email cllr.christine.bayliss@rother.gov.uk to book a place and receive meeting information.”
Or contact her now (after the events) with your views.
